VEHICLE BOOKING – TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions apply exclusively to vehicle-only bookings made with G1 Cabs / Jeevan Cabs. Tour packages, hotel bookings, helicopter services and other package services are governed by separate Terms & Conditions.
1. Service Type
- G1 Cabs provides vehicles primarily for Round Trip / Multi-Day Tour bookings originating from Delhi NCR.
- We do not provide one-way vehicle services under this category.
- Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, the vehicle must complete the trip according to the confirmed itinerary and return as per the agreed round-trip schedule.
- The confirmed route, travel dates, number of days and pickup/drop locations form the basis of the quotation.
2. Vehicle Categories
Depending on availability and passenger requirements, vehicles may include:
- Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
- Kia Carens
- Toyota Innova Crysta
- Tempo Traveller
- Force Urbania
- Mini Bus
- Luxury / Tourist Bus
The exact vehicle model, seating capacity and category will be mentioned at the time of booking.
3. Vehicle Availability & Replacement
- Vehicle allocation is subject to availability on the travel date.
- In case the assigned vehicle becomes unavailable due to breakdown, accident, mechanical issue, government restriction or any unavoidable operational reason, G1 Cabs reserves the right to provide an equivalent or higher-category replacement vehicle, subject to availability.
- Vehicle colour, registration number or exact model/variant may change unless specifically committed in writing.
- Photographs displayed on the website are representative and the actual vehicle may vary in colour, interiors, accessories or minor specifications.
4. Commercial Vehicle & Documents
Vehicles provided for tourist operations will carry applicable commercial documentation as required by law, including relevant permit/authorization and other statutory documents applicable to the vehicle.
The vehicle may carry documents such as valid Registration Certificate, Insurance, Fitness Certificate, Pollution Under Control Certificate and applicable tourist/commercial permit as required by law.
5. Passenger & Seating Capacity
- Passengers must not exceed the legally permitted seating capacity of the booked vehicle.
- Children will also be considered passengers wherever applicable under transport and safety regulations.
- The driver has the right to refuse travel if passengers exceed the permitted capacity.
- Passengers must occupy proper passenger seats and follow applicable seat-belt and road-safety requirements.
- G1 Cabs will not be responsible for inconvenience caused due to passengers exceeding the booked or legally permitted capacity.
6. Luggage Policy
- Luggage must be within the reasonable carrying capacity of the booked vehicle.
- Excessive or oversized luggage may not be accommodated.
- Passengers should inform us in advance if carrying unusually large or excessive luggage.
- Luggage must not block doors, emergency exits, driver visibility or passenger seating.
- Roof-carrier luggage, wherever permitted and available, is carried at the passenger's responsibility.
- Valuable items, cash, jewellery, electronic devices and important documents should remain in the passenger's personal custody.
7. Kilometre & Day Calculation
- Kilometre and day calculation will be as mentioned in the confirmed quotation.
- For kilometre-based bookings, the applicable minimum kilometres per day and extra-kilometre charges will be communicated before booking.
- For day-based hill-station/tour bookings, charges may be calculated on a per-day basis rather than actual kilometres.
- Extra kilometres, extra days or additional usage beyond the confirmed itinerary will be charged additionally.
- A calendar day or operating day will be calculated according to the booking terms mentioned in the quotation.
8. Route & Itinerary
- The vehicle will operate according to the itinerary confirmed at the time of booking.
- Any major route change, additional destination, additional sightseeing or extra pickup/drop requested during the trip may attract additional charges.
- The driver will use routes considered legally permitted, operationally suitable and reasonably safe.
- Routes may be changed due to traffic, road closures, landslides, weather conditions, police instructions, local restrictions, construction, strikes or other circumstances beyond our control.
- The customer cannot insist on a route that the driver considers prohibited, unsafe or unsuitable for the vehicle.
9. Hill Area & Mountain Driving
- Air-conditioning may remain switched off in hill areas, particularly on steep climbs/descents and routes beyond Rishikesh or other mountainous sectors where vehicle performance or local operating conditions require it.
- Night driving in hill areas may be restricted or avoided for safety reasons.
- Travel timings in mountain regions depend on road, weather, traffic and local authority conditions.
- The driver may stop or postpone travel if continuing the journey is considered unsafe.
- G1 Cabs will not force a driver to violate local traffic, police, administration or safety restrictions.
10. Driving Hours & Driver Rest
- Driving schedules are subject to applicable road-safety requirements and reasonable driver working/rest hours.
- Customers must provide sufficient rest time to the driver during long or multi-day journeys.
- Continuous or unsafe driving demands will not be accepted.
- Customers cannot compel the driver to drive while fatigued, during prohibited hours, or under unsafe road/weather conditions.
- Early-morning or late-night movement should be communicated in advance.
11. Pickup & Reporting Time
- Customers should be ready at the agreed pickup time.
- Reasonable waiting time may be allowed depending on the booking.
- Excessive waiting that affects the itinerary, causes an additional operating day, additional parking or other expenses may be charged separately.
- G1 Cabs will make reasonable efforts to ensure timely reporting, but delays caused by traffic, roadblocks, weather, accidents, government restrictions or other circumstances beyond reasonable control shall not be treated as deliberate service failure.
12. Toll, State Tax, Parking & Other Charges
Whether toll tax, state tax, permit charges, driver allowance and parking are included or excluded will be clearly mentioned in the quotation.
Unless specifically stated as included:
- Parking charges
- Airport parking
- Monument/local parking
- Local union charges
- Local taxi/jeep charges
- Entry fees
- Border/state taxes
- Special permits
- Ferry charges
- Any newly imposed government/local charges
may be payable additionally by the customer.
Charges supported by local receipts, wherever receipts are issued, shall be payable accordingly.
13. Local Vehicle / Union Restrictions
Certain destinations, airports, hill stations, sightseeing points or pilgrimage areas may restrict outside commercial vehicles.
Where local rules or taxi-union regulations prevent the booked vehicle from entering or providing local sightseeing/pickup services, customers may need to hire a local vehicle at their own cost unless specifically included in the quotation.
G1 Cabs shall not be liable for restrictions imposed by local authorities, taxi unions, police or government agencies.
14. AC Policy
- AC will normally be available on applicable AC vehicles while travelling on plain routes.
- AC operation in hill areas is subject to road gradient, vehicle load, safety and operating conditions.
- AC may not be operated while the vehicle is parked or the engine is switched off.
- Temporary reduction in AC performance due to extreme weather or operating conditions shall not automatically constitute vehicle failure.
15. Breakdown & Mechanical Issues
Vehicles are checked and maintained before deployment; however, mechanical breakdowns can occur unexpectedly.
In case of a breakdown:
- The driver/operator will first attempt to repair the vehicle within a reasonable time.
- If the vehicle cannot be repaired within a reasonable period, an alternate vehicle will be arranged wherever reasonably possible.
- Replacement time will depend on location, vehicle category, road conditions and local availability.
- G1 Cabs will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption but cannot guarantee an immediate replacement in remote or mountainous areas.
16. Traffic, Weather & Road Conditions
G1 Cabs is not responsible for delays, missed sightseeing, altered routes or additional travel time caused by:
- Traffic congestion
- Roadblocks
- Landslides
- Heavy rain or snowfall
- Floods or natural disasters
- Accidents
- Political rallies or protests
- Strikes
- VIP movement
- Police checking
- Government restrictions
- Road construction
- Natural calamities
- Local disturbances
- Force majeure events
Travel plans may be modified in the interest of passenger and vehicle safety.
17. Customer Conduct
Passengers must behave respectfully with the driver and other staff.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Abusing, threatening or physically assaulting the driver
- Forcing the driver to violate traffic laws
- Carrying illegal or prohibited goods
- Damaging the vehicle
- Smoking inside the vehicle where prohibited or against company policy
- Consuming or carrying prohibited substances
- Creating conditions that compromise safe driving
G1 Cabs reserves the right to discontinue service in cases of serious misconduct or unlawful activity.
18. Alcohol & Driver Safety
Passengers must never encourage or force the driver to consume alcohol or any intoxicating substance.
If a customer reasonably believes that a driver is driving unsafely or is under the influence of alcohol/intoxicants, the customer should immediately stop the journey at a safe location and contact G1 Cabs.
19. Vehicle Cleanliness & Damage
- Customers are expected to maintain reasonable cleanliness inside the vehicle.
- Any intentional damage, excessive soiling, broken accessories, damaged seats or other damage caused by passengers may be charged to the customer.
- Cleaning charges may apply where extraordinary cleaning is required due to passenger actions.
20. Personal Belongings
Passengers are responsible for their own luggage and personal belongings.
G1 Cabs and the vehicle operator will make reasonable efforts to assist in locating lost items but shall not be responsible for loss, theft or damage to cash, jewellery, electronics, documents or other personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
21. Booking Confirmation
A booking will be treated as confirmed only after:
1. The required booking advance has been received; and
2. Confirmation has been issued by G1 Cabs through an authorized communication channel.
A verbal enquiry, quotation or temporary vehicle hold does not constitute a confirmed booking.
22. Payment Terms
- The applicable advance amount will be communicated at the time of booking.
- Remaining payment must be made according to the payment schedule mentioned in the booking confirmation/quotation.
- Extra charges incurred during the trip must be settled before completion of the journey unless otherwise agreed.
- Applicable taxes, including GST where applicable, will be charged according to the invoice/payment arrangement and prevailing law.
23. Cancellation & Refund
Cancellation charges will be governed by the cancellation policy communicated with the confirmed booking.
Any non-refundable advance, vehicle blocking charge or cancellation slab applicable to the booking will be communicated before or at the time of confirmation.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed according to the confirmed cancellation terms.
24. Change of Travel Date
Any request to change travel dates will be subject to:
- Vehicle availability
- Revised seasonal rates
- Permit/operational conditions
- Supplier availability
- Applicable rescheduling charges, if any
A previously quoted rate cannot automatically be carried forward to new travel dates.
25. Extension of Trip
Any additional day, kilometre, destination or route added after commencement of the journey will be charged separately according to the applicable vehicle rate and operating expenses.
Extension is subject to vehicle and driver availability.
26. Sightseeing & Restricted Areas
Vehicle access to sightseeing locations depends on:
- Road width and vehicle suitability
- Local administration rules
- Commercial vehicle restrictions
- Parking availability
- Local taxi-union restrictions
- Weather and road conditions
Where large vehicles such as Tempo Travellers, Urbania, Mini Buses or Buses cannot access a location, passengers may have to use a smaller/local vehicle at additional cost.
27. Road Safety & Traffic Rules
All journeys are subject to applicable Indian traffic and transport laws.
The driver will follow applicable:
- Speed limits
- Traffic signals
- No-entry restrictions
- Commercial vehicle restrictions
- Parking regulations
- Police instructions
- Road safety requirements
Passengers cannot instruct the driver to violate any traffic or transport law for the purpose of reaching a destination faster.
28. Government & Regulatory Changes
Any new tax, permit fee, toll, environmental fee, green tax, entry fee or other statutory charge imposed after booking but applicable on the travel date may be charged additionally unless specifically covered in the confirmed quotation.
29. Force Majeure
G1 Cabs shall not be held responsible for failure or delay in providing services due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, road closures, government orders, strikes, riots, war-like situations, epidemics, technical infrastructure failures or other force majeure events.
Where possible, reasonable assistance or alternative arrangements will be offered, subject to availability and additional costs.
30. Liability
G1 Cabs acts as a travel/transport service provider and will exercise reasonable care in arranging the booked vehicle.
Liability for any claim shall be subject to applicable Indian law, statutory insurance provisions and the specific circumstances of the incident.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any right or liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian law.
31. Quotations & Pricing
- Prices are valid only for the itinerary, dates, passenger count and vehicle category mentioned in the quotation.
- Rates may vary during weekends, festivals, peak seasons, special events and high-demand periods.
- Any modification to the itinerary may result in a revised quotation.
- Website prices, where displayed, may be indicative unless specifically stated as final.
32. Communication & Booking Record
Customers should verify the final itinerary, vehicle category, price, inclusions, exclusions and payment terms before making payment.
The latest written booking confirmation issued through G1 Cabs' authorized communication channels will be treated as the applicable booking record.
33. Passenger Information
Where required by applicable transport regulations or authorities, passengers may be requested to provide basic identification or journey information.
Such information will be handled for legitimate booking, operational, safety and legal compliance purposes.
34. Acceptance of Terms
By paying the booking advance or confirming the vehicle booking, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted these Vehicle Booking Terms & Conditions along with the specific quotation and booking confirmation.
In case of any conflict between these general Terms & Conditions and a specific written condition mentioned in the customer's confirmed quotation, the specific written booking condition will apply to that booking, subject to applicable law.
